Srinath Kalluri, PhD - CEO
Srinath has over 20 years of experience leading large organizations in public and private companies. Most recently, he was Senior Director and the Head of R&D at Intel’s Silicon Photonic Products Division where he led the first two silicon photonic products from concept to commercial release. These products have been deployed in large volumes in datacenters around the world. Prior to that he was R&D Director at JDSU, leading teams developing components with several world firsts: T-XFP, 100Gb/s CFP-2 and CFP-4, narrow linewidth tunable iTLA laser, and many others. He was the VP-Product Development at VSK Photonics in early 2000s and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California, and a BSEE from University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
Ralph Spickermann, PhD - CTO
Ralph has over 20 years of experience in optical system engineering, lidar, radar, free space communication systems and corporate strategic development. Before Oyla, he was Senior Fellow at Lockheed Martin where he led several critical programs on coherent lidar, satellite base-station design and free-space aircraft to satellite communication networks over two decades. His research group developed patent portfolios in optical communications that led to two spin-offs: Center-point Broadband Technologies and TeON Networks. Ralph holds a PhD in Electro-Optics from the UC Santa Barbara, and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
Raghavendra Singh, PhD - Director of Computer Vision & Data Science
Raghav joined Oyla from IBM Research where for 18+ years he was a senior researcher with interests in the areas of signal processing, computer vision, and machine learning. His significant projects at IBM included the exploratory cognitive computing project -- a quest to engineer mind-like intelligent business machines by reverse-engineering the computational function of the brain, and also client driven projects on fashion retail visual search and monitoring of large scale data centers. He has authored high value patents and publications over the years. Raghavendra Singh received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
